Horizontal autoclaves for sterilization
All modern autoclaves have a horizontal design. This design allows easy installation and maintenance of the machine itself, flow and automation of production, more even temperature distribution, reliable control and monitoring of the process.
The autoclave is a pressure vessel that is designed for sterilization and pasteurization of canned food in various packages (glass, tin cans, heat-resistant doy-packs, CPP bottles, ready meals in flexible packages and on pads, soups and milk in plastic packaging).
The water is injected into the autoclave through nozzles, and it is heated by direct supply of steam below the water level. The autoclave produces a medium of steam and hot fine water droplets (aerosol - spray), which penetrates intensively and evenly between the packages, so that the heating takes place quickly.
One of the main advantages of this autoclave is the high accuracy of maintaining the temperature values at each point of the product.
Horizontal autoclaves offers:
Vertical autoclaves for sterilization
Vertical autoclaves for sterilization - suitable for canning vegetables, meat products in glass, metal or other packaging. During the pasteurization process, the product is heated to the required temperature for the destruction of the contained microorganisms. During pasteurization, the temperature rises to between 60ºC and 100ºC.
Sterilization is a type of pasteurization, in which food is preserved by stopping the access of air. The process stops the development of microorganisms that are harmful to products. Sterilization is one of the most efficient methods for cooking cans in metal packaging, as it takes place in an autoclave with a temperature of 121°C and under pressure.
